Re-capped at some time before I got this unit - also note wiring patches on PCB see photos obvious. This came to me as a - needing repair I tested it and made the following notes. Passes audio, not well, but does. It is mostly decipherable.

The FET or what controls it. This is a mono two band limiter with crossover between hi and low frequency bands at 250Hz. This is a project for someone - not plug and play. Docs/Schematic exist but some of it is hard to read.

Selling as-is for parts or possible repair - this item is not fully functional as it. No major power supply noise - that seems to be working. Powers up - both meters deflect down on power normally resting at right end of scale zero mark and drift back. The crossover is simple R/C based.

ALTEC 9473A Limiter - VINTAGE/CLASSIC. The above 250 Hz meter takes a dive with audio and stays there SO. Unit acts as though the >250 higher band is in full limit and fully attenuated all time. So - years go by and this has to leave.
