I'll respond promptly. This Avalon AD2055 has been in my non smoking home studio for a few years mostly going unused. Dialing in a sound is easy because the layout is logical and easy to read even in dim lighting. The low and high eq are step delectable at set frequencies.

The mid range is very cool with the variable q and range. All the knobs are smooth with a indent. The unit is really quiet, and very transparent.

That's a lot more than mid range to me but I think that makes it very versatile.

Everything about this piece is quality. To compare it to digital eq the Avalon seems more natural and organic sounding, more real and tangible, more visceral.

Between the two mid range sections, you can dial it anywhere from 35 20,000 Hz.
