It has 49 presets including filters,pitch effects, flange, synth patches, scratch effect. The third set of effects cover phasing and flanking, and unlike the pedal or rack varieties that run from an LIFO, the sweep can be controlled by hand in a way very similar to genuine tape flanking. Some of these filters sound really effective, particularly the dormant filter, which sounds rather like a guitarist's talk box.

This is an used Alesis Airfx effects processor, hard to find, Alesis doesn make them anymore. The Airfx is a motion sensitive sound device designed for the table top.

The unit works perfectly and the adapter does it job too.

When you move your hand away, it starts up again. Iota pretty fun and rare piece of gear to have, and it works with instruments too. Next along the list is a selection of 10 filters, ranging from something that progressively high pass filters the music until it sounds like it's being played down the phone, via more conventional high pass and low pass resonant filtering and vowel formats, all the way to filters that follow the envelope of the music while interacting with your hand movements.

This recreates DJ scratching and it saves wear on 'gramophones' that Wren't ever designed for that kind of abuse. There are some weird drum and percussion sounds in this section, as well as a couple of synth sounds that can be controlled in theremin by varying your hand position. Many of these patches are pure psychedelia and there's plenty of variation, from a subtle phase that just tickles the edge of consciousness to a deep flange that threatens to turn your head inside out. Add a few diabolical distorter, some creepy modulators and some obscure filtering and you'll begin to have an idea of what this section is about.

Last come 10 synth effects, though the first of these is a surprisingly realistic record scratch, which I would have said belonged in one of the special effects sections. This was given to me as a by an uncle who was a DJ, but as a guitar player I couldn't find any good use for it, so I just played with the effects a couple of times on songs playing on my iPod.

Of course, there's some trickery taking place so that, when the music resumes at normal speed, it's still in sync with the input signal not delayed by the amount of time you halted it. Passing the hand or anything else over the invisible 3d sphere above the product the user activates the infrared control of the unit. The unit has some scratches and details look at the pictures, but the infrared sensor works perfectly shown on the pictures swell. More special effects follow, the most notable being strobe gate, that chops up the music in time with the rhythm, and Jung FY pannier, that does precisely what you'd expect.
