Details:

If anything, i'm guessing some cheap part, a transformer or something, needs replaced. It included a cool, vintage ante power supply pictured. I don't want to mess with it.

The Yamaha PM1000 is commonly racked and modded to sound close to a 1073 flavor. So fine, I thought. It was plugged in probably for about 5 seconds.

I opened it up and looked around. I immediately unplugged it. The master section has a pleasant, vintage vibe and all recommend not to mess with it in any way.

I did a lot of research and discovered that those are far less commonly racked. I turned it on the first time it had been turned on for years and it started smoking. All the soldering looks good and all the parts seem fine.

I don't know where the smoke came from. I'm just getting rid of it and cutting my losses. Could be a super cool find for a diy'er.

I bought this years ago on. Because I thought it looked cool and, not knowing much about this sort of thing, thought i'd have it modded and end up with a cool looking custom racked 1073 knock off. I have cool, PM1000 master section, I can deal with that.
