So if you want it is your best sure fire way. Super rare find here. The build is super clean. This is truly a rare piece of kit.
It's all systems go and it's wired for 110. I have no experience in wiring it for 220, but the owners manual does show you what to do. Telefunken 373a's have been described as sonic wolves disguised in sheepskin designed for the highest demands of german broadcasters. I have the unit for sale elsewhere and reserve the right to end the offer early if it sells.
Another bonus is you can switch between 110 and 220 input voltage if you wish by swapping out the back circuit breaker. I had this up for offer awhile back and pulled it because I thought I had a leaky cap.
The build is stellar and fully documented. Both units still slide in and out of their holding trays as they would have in their original mountings. Well over a value.
I've priced the well below market value. There is no guarantee other than it fires up on arrival. This unit has had very light use, smoke free studio use only, and no gigging or roadie work at all. Deep thick and rich sound qualities good for use on vocals, drums and synths.
You won't see these up again anytime soon. I will answer them all.
It turned out to be glue and normal for the build. From original owner this is my original custom build Telefunken rack unit. If you ever wanted something a little different for compressors and of analog quality, collectable and timeless, these might be the units for you.
Do your homework, don't believe me. The units unpacked sell for a piece if you can find them the racking by kawana is a price tag and i've heard he's out of the business as well.
If you want some really special compressors with incredible sonic enhancement capabilities Telefunken is the way to go. I bought the 373a's back in the 1990 's at the vim offers in England as two separate units, no power or rack, and shipped to ny city where I had Mr. Ask me any question, please.
