Details:

The price is for one channel. The mic input transformer is ed Anderson's ea2622. The circuit utilizes two of secondary winding's in series standard api fashion. These have been burned in and tested but are otherwise brand new.

The simple voltage divider or u-pad resistor network follows exact method used on original module. The last and possibly most unique feature of VP26, is use a custom, Burns 600 ohm t-pad output attenuate.

This transformer mimics the inherent flaws of vintage ap2622 that we so enjoy and works perfectly in VP26 circuit. I just didn't wind up with enough space for that many. The 3-module attenuate gives user ability to drive preamp harder, and simply turn down output level.

Of course, the discrete operational amplifier is heart this preamp. Maybe for the better, worse. This method is historically and mathematically correct, unlike many pads implemented into the 312 type circuits. You can choose from a few options calculated to represent similar source and load impedance's the ones that exist in circuit before pad is engaged.

The rest of circuit is slightly different than ever popular 312 schematic or what found on cards themselves. I built these from a group of 10 bought for use in my studio. Capi gear VP26-litz I have two of these available.

Notes on the schematic give builder a choice of attenuation levels, with standard and original version being -20db. The use of series and loading resistors, along with a few decoupling capacitors is also faithfully implemented. The input modules have precisely this same exact circuit. They are ready to ship not built order.

Experimentation required. These have the litz wire transformer for a little extra Moho. While some of these will provide as little half the attenuation, source and load impedance's may be a slight compromise, changing interaction between microphone pre amplifier. Although the 2503 is most recognized output transformer for an api mic preamp, it should be noted that console input modules made use of smaller ap2623-1 this duty, not love-hate relationship with pad loyally carried out on board.

The op amps are Capi gar2520 or substitute gar1731s at no charge. The insertion loss of t-pad is very minimal with a near perfect transfer power, from input to output. Let your ears be the judge.

I also offer Scott libber red or app992 op amps for 20 per op amp 2 on these units used api early 201070 each.
